Our client is a well-established New Jersey-based construction firm headquartered in Cranford, NJ, with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial projects throughout the region. As part of a strategic growth initiative, the company is making a significant investment in expanding its healthcare construction portfolio and is seeking a proven industry leader to help build and scale this business unit.

Job Description

  • Healthcare Growth: Lead the development and execution of the company's healthcare construction growth strategy throughout New Jersey and the surrounding market.
  • Client Relations: Build, maintain, and expand relationships with healthcare systems, developers, architects, engineers, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Business Development: Drive business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, participating in pursuits, and supporting contract negotiations.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop project management and field teams to support future market growth.
  • Quality Control: Establish operational processes, best practices, and performance standards specific to healthcare construction projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest client satisfaction standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within commercial construction, with a strong focus on healthcare projects.
  • Proven experience overseeing healthcare construction projects valued at $10M or greater.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale healthcare projects and client relationships simultaneously.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing project teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive long-term market expansion.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and executive-level client management skills.
