Job Description

  • Perform inspections using a variety of precision measurement and testing equipment, including micrometers, calipers, vision systems, and automated inspection tools.
  • Program and operate advanced automated inspection equipment to verify product quality and compliance.
  • Develop and implement fixtures and tooling to support inspection processes.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet customer and internal quality requirements.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and process instructions to verify conformance.
  • Record and maintain accurate inspection data within company systems and databases.
  • Support engineering and manufacturing teams by inspecting prototype and specialised components.
  • Identify quality concerns and make acceptance decisions in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Ensure inspection equipment remains calibrated, maintained, and in proper working condition.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and operational performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience inspecting precision machined components within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of metrology, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience using CMMs, vision systems, and automated inspection equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visual inspection capabilities.
