The Interior Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all interior construction activities on multifamily residential projects from drywall through final completion and turnover. This role ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Job Description

Project Execution

  • Oversee all interior construction activities including:
    • Framing and drywall
    • Insulation
    • Interior doors and hardware
    • Millwork and cabinetry
    • Flooring
    • Tile installation
    • Painting and wall finishes
    • Appliances
    • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing
    • Amenities and common areas
  • Manage unit turnover sequencing to support project milestones and occupancy requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities to maintain project schedules and production goals.
  • Monitor work for compliance with contract documents, building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct daily site walks and proactively identify and resolve construction issues.



Scheduling & Coordination

  • Develop and maintain short-interval schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, punch lists, and turnover activities.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans when necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of model units, leasing areas, amenity spaces, and residential units.



Quality Control

  • Implement and enforce company quality control standards.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of completed work to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage deficiency tracking, punch list completion, and final turnover processes.
  • Maintain high standards for finish quality and customer-ready units.



Safety Management

  • Promote and enforce project safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and subcontractor compliance reviews.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings and incident investigations as required.



Stakeholder Communication

  • Maintain effective communication with project leadership, subcontractors, trades, consultants, and ownership representatives.
  • Provide daily reports documenting manpower, progress, inspections, and project challenges.
  • Assist in owner walks, lender inspections, and municipal inspections.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of superintendent experience in multifamily construction, with a focus on interior finishes.
  • Experience managing large-scale mid-rise or high-rise multifamily interiors projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building systems, and interior finishing trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and finish plans.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain aggressive project schedules.
  • Experience with multifamily developments exceeding 200 units.
  • South Florida construction experience.
  • Knowledge of Florida Building Code requirements.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
