This role leads the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the ITAR compliance program across the organization. You'll drive remediation, manage audits, and act as the subject matter expert for export controls and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

  • Conduct ITAR gap assessments and execute remediation plans across the business
  • Build and implement compliance programs, including policies, controls, and training
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and hold teams accountable for compliance milestones
  • Manage export licenses, technology transfer approvals, and regulatory reporting
  • Oversee internal audits, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Prepare for and manage government audits and regulatory interactions
  • Lead voluntary disclosures and corrective action planning when needed
  • Develop and deliver company-wide ITAR training programs
  • Own compliance policies, procedures, and documentation across the organization
  • Act as the primary expert on ITAR, EAR, and export control regulations

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on ITAR/EAR compliance experience in regulated industries
  • Deep knowledge of export controls, USML/CCL, and licensing processes
  • Proven experience building or transforming compliance programs
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
