Job Description



Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate work sequencing
  • Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, field staff, and trade partners
  • Drive project safety initiatives and enforce jobsite safety requirements
  • Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews
  • Coordinate all construction activities to ensure on-time project completion
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and jobsite coordination meetings
  • Manage project logistics, manpower planning, and material deliveries
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
  • Identify and proactively resolve schedule, quality, and field coordination issues
  • Communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and client expectations
  • Support project teams in delivering exceptional customer service and client satisfaction

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or other field leadership role within commercial construction
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects, with exposure to K-12 education, higher education, municipal, multifamily, senior living, mixed-use, or other large-scale commercial developments preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, quality control, blueprint reading, subcontractor management, and overall project execution
  • Demonstrated ability to lead jobsite teams, coordinate subcontractors, solve field issues, and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Experience with ground-up construction, major renovations, additions, and projects valued at $10M+ is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification are preferred
  • A proactive, accountable, and detail-oriented leader who motivates teams, drives results, embraces a collaborative culture, and has the ambition to grow into future Senior Superintendent or General Superintendent leadership opportunities
