We are seeking an experienced Layout Field Engineer to support the successful execution of large-scale construction projects through precise line, grade, and layout activities. Job Description

  • Establish and maintain project control points throughout the line and grade process.
  • Perform construction layout using Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, and other surveying instrumentation.
  • Review architectural and structural drawings to verify dimensions and identify discrepancies before construction begins.
  • Utilize surveying and layout software to accurately position project elements.
  • Coordinate with project leadership to ensure proper scheduling and sequencing of layout activities.
  • Deliver accurate layout information to field teams to support successful project execution.
  • Monitor quality standards and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve layout, survey, and drawing conflicts in the field

The Successful Applicant

  • 1+ years of field engineering, surveying, or construction layout experience.
  • Experience supporting commercial, industrial, concrete, or self-perform construction projects.
  • Strong proficiency with Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and/or Theodolite equipment.
  • Working knowledge of surveying software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of coordinate geometry, geometric theory, and related layout calculations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
