An established and growing multifamily builder is seeking a Superintendent to lead a $71M+ ground-up apartment project in Raleigh, NC. This individual will oversee daily field operations, manage assistant superintendents, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for a $71M, 280-unit ground-up multifamily development.
  • Manage project execution from sitework through turnover.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Drive schedule adherence, quality control, and jobsite safety.
  • Oversee extensive sitework, slab-on-grade construction, and elevated podium concrete scopes.
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to achieve project objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor two Assistant Superintendents.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field issues.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local building requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with ownership, design teams, and project leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • 4+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
  • Proven success delivering ground-up multifamily projects.
  • Experience managing wood-frame apartment construction.
  • Knowledge of slab-on-grade and elevated podium concrete construction.
  • Experience overseeing significant sitework operations.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain project schedules and drive production.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Stable construction background with a commitment to safety and quality.
