This Management Systems Engineer role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality and environmental management systems. You'll work cross-functionally to drive compliance, manage OEM relationships, and ensure operational excellence through audits, analysis, and process enhancement.

Job Description

  • Lead the development and maintenance of integrated management systems (ISO, IATF, environmental and safety standards)
  • Plan and conduct internal audits, track findings, and drive corrective actions
  • Host and manage external audits including customer and compliance reviews
  • Maintain and optimize quality documentation, procedures, and policies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and enhance efficiency
  • Conduct root cause analysis on non-conformances and implement preventative actions
  • Provide training and guidance on quality systems and processes across the organization
  • Manage OEM customer quality requirements, issues, and expectations
  • Analyze returned products and implement quality and design improvements
  • Prepare and manage PPAP and IMDS documentation for customers
  • Participate in customer and internal project meetings to address quality concerns
  • Lead FMEA, risk analysis, and other core quality tools initiatives
  • Support environmental compliance requests, reporting, and customer surveys
  • Mentor and support junior quality team members

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of experience in quality systems or management systems engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Proven experience conducting audits and managing compliance programs
  • Hands-on experience with PPAP, IMDS, and OEM quality requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability (root cause, corrective actions)
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; ERP/M3 experience is a plus
  • Self-driven with strong organizational, decision-making, and multitasking skills
