Job Description

Reporting into the Director of Test Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Test and Product Engineers, technicians, and support personnel.
  • Drive the design, development, and implementation of new semiconductor test and burn-in solutions.
  • Establish and execute the Test Engineering technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage engineering projects from planning through execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
  • Oversee product characterization, failure analysis, diagnostic investigations, and technical validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain test methodologies, procedures, documentation, specifications, and operational standards.
  • Improve manufacturing performance by driving yield enhancement, cost reduction, and cycle-time improvements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, customer support, suppliers, and external stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Review engineering outputs to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Present technical recommendations, project updates, business cases, and findings to leadership and customers.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and coach engineering talent while supporting succession planning and team growth.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging test technologies, and automated test equipment capabilities to support future business requirements.
  • Manage departmental budgets, expenditures, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in semiconductor testing and a proven ability to manage both technical projects and high-performing teams.Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience within electrical or semiconductor test engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of analogue, digital, mixed-signal, and memory testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing complex technical projects.
  • Expertise in automated test equipment (ATE), product characterization, diagnostics, debugging, quality, and reliability engineering.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineering professionals.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills with experience working cross-functionally and engaging with customers and stakeholders.
  • High levels of integrity, adaptability, customer focus, and collaboration.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.
