Job Description

  • Support the introduction of new products and the transition of capital equipment into full-scale manufacturing.
  • Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams, troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to enhance product manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reliability.
  • Design, specify, or support tooling, fixtures, and test equipment required for production processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve sourcing strategies and manufacturability.
  • Analyze production data, support ERP system accuracy, and track key manufacturing metrics.
  • Train and support manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, and standard operating procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience within capital equipment, automation, or electromechanical manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production support activities.Experience working directly on the production floor to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) methodologies preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience conducting root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience within ISO-regulated or similarly controlled manufacturing environments is advantageous.
