About Our Client

I am currently partnering with a highly innovative and rapidly growing medical device manufacturing organization that is expanding its engineering team. This company is a recognized leader in advanced engineering, prototyping, and micro manufacturing, with a strong focus on cutting edge technologies and continuous improvement.We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to support the development and optimization of laser processing applications for complex medical device components.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement laser processing applications for new and existing products
  • Design robust and cost effective manufacturing processes and oversee validation activities, particularly for Nitinol components
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade laser systems as needed
  • Identify and propose new technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities
  • Investigate process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Analyze and establish cost models for new products and process changes
  • Lead and support manufacturing and project related initiatives across multiple priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Lead process development, qualification, and improvement efforts for equipment and test methods
  • Develop and maintain required documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Serve as a technical resource and contribute to cross functional and global initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality system requirements

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in laser application development and manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience working within regulated environments such as ISO 13485 or similar QSR systems
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
