Job Description

Reporting into the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
  • Develop, standardize, and enhance manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment across production operations.
  • Partner with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Support new product introduction activities by ensuring manufacturing requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop process controls, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Manage capital equipment projects, including identifying requirements, developing business cases, and supporting implementation.
  • Specify, source, and oversee tooling, gauges, fixtures, and assembly aids required for production operations.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis support to resolve manufacturing and equipment issues.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities maintain high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Strong background in assembly, manufacturing processes, testing, and process optimization.
  • Experience analyzing production equipment and implementing process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement methodologies, and workflow optimization.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Proven capability in root cause analysis, FMEA, DFMA, and quality improvement techniques.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or BlackBelt certification would be advantageous.
