Job Description

  • Lead manufacturing improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product performance.
  • Maintain accurate process data, routing information, bills of materials, and manufacturing records within the ERP system.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, validation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline operations.
  • Create manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process specifications, and equipment procedures.
  • Participate in new product development activities, ensuring designs are manufacturable and scalable.
  • Coordinate projects with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and work-holding solutions using CAD software.
  • Analyze process performance and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and reduce waste.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams.
  • Assist with audits, quality initiatives, and process validation activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience within a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience working within ISO-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Plex.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using Minitab and statistical process analysis tools.
  • CAD design experience, ideally using SolidWorks.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming, PLC systems, and manufacturing automation preferred.
  • Experience with machining processes, tooling selection, fixture design, and process optimization.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, IQ/OQ/PQ, and product/process validation principles.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
