Job Description

  • Provide technical support across manufacturing processes, materials testing, process development, and product performance investigations.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts related to production challenges, quality concerns, and customer issues.
  • Review and determine appropriate disposition of nonconforming materials and support corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute process validation activities, including equipment qualification and process verification protocols.
  • Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to improve process capability, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and statistical methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage engineering projects involving equipment installation, process optimization, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Assess technical risks associated with manufacturing processes, materials, and product applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Mentor and support less experienced engineering and technical team members.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, statistical analysis, and structured problem solving.
  • Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis software.
  • Exposure to validation activities, equipment qualifications, and process documentation.
  • Basic CAD modeling and drafting experience preferred.
  • Experience with metal processing, forming, cleaning, heat treatment, or related manufacturing operations is highly advantageous.
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience is desirable.
