Job Description

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing equipment and tooling solutions to support production needs.
  • Modify, upgrade, and optimize existing equipment to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify equipment requirements, evaluate suppliers, support capital requests, and coordinate purchasing activities.
  • Develop standardized work instructions and train employees on manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues while partnering with maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Coordinate tooling and fixture management, including repairs, inventory requirements, and prioritization of resources.
  • Create, maintain, and improve production standards and manufacturing documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Promote a safe working environment by identifying and eliminating operational risks and barriers.
  • Analyze production performance, monitor process effectiveness, and implement process enhancements where needed.
  • Support training efforts, technical problem-solving, and production activities on the shop floor.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to broader operational initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong CAD proficiency, including experience with AutoCAD and related design software.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with a passion for solving technical problems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment, assess design feasibility, and implement practical solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and utilize precision measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, SPC methodologies, and manufacturing quality principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or within a team environment.
