Job Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Develop, assess, and optimize manufacturing methods and production processes.
  • Evaluate labor requirements, cycle times, tooling, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing plans, process documentation, and engineering records.
  • Utilize CAD software, preferably CATIA V5, to support manufacturing and production requirements.
  • Generate and review technical drawings, product structures, and engineering documentation.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing tolerances and process controls.
  • Partner closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Provide engineering support to internal machining operations and external suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.
  • Prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent manufacturing engineering experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing engineering teams preferred.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, precision machining, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, ideally CATIA V5.
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably Epicor/Vantage or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production planning.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards preferred.
  • Familiarity with aerospace processing specifications is highly desirable.
  • Advanced problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship or current U.S. work authorization required.
