Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will:

  • Lead, develop and mentor a multidisciplinary manufacturing engineering team.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency and support business growth.
  • Act as the site's technical authority for machining, tooling and manufacturing engineering challenges.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS and HR teams to align engineering objectives with business priorities.
  • Oversee process development, documentation and standardization across manufacturing operations.
  • Support new product introductions by transitioning products from development into full-scale production.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, advanced manufacturing technologies and process optimization.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and operational improvements.

The Successful Applicant

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background supporting CNC machining, fabrication, assembly or precision manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and driving measurable operational results.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through implementation.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to coach, mentor and develop talent.
  • Excellent project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Proven experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with ERP systems, CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a focus on innovation and achieving results.
