Job Description

The Manufacturing Manager will:

    • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to achieve targets across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
    • Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all regulations and proactively mitigating risk
    • Manage, coach, and develop production teams, setting clear performance goals aligned with site objectives
    • Oversee production scheduling and workforce planning to meet shifting operational demands
    • Implement and champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Analyse data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and deliver process improvements
    • Develop and execute strategic action plans to enhance operational performance and reduce costs
    • Lead change management efforts, ensuring employee engagement and alignment
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to best practices
    • Ensure policies, procedures, and standards are effectively communicated and consistently followed

The Successful Applicant

The Manufacturing Manager should have the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline preferred
    • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with a strong background in managing teams in a production environment
    • Demonstrated success implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
    • Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Experience with ERP systems and standard business tools (e.g. Microsoft Office)
    • Exposure to automation, plastics, extrusion, or similar manufacturing processes is advantageous
