Job Description

Reporting directly into the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
  • Drive a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing protocols and proactively reducing risk across the facility
  • Manage workforce planning, including staffing, cross-training, and contingency strategies to meet fluctuating production demands
  • Develop and track key performance metrics to improve operational outcomes and support plant objectives
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members, setting clear performance expectations and fostering accountability
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies to improve overall profitability
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify process gaps and implement effective solutions
  • Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize operations and align with broader business goals
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and best practices are followed consistently across the site

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role (typically 7+ years)
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies (Six Sigma experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working with ERP systems and standard business software tools
  • Exposure to plastics, extrusion, or automation technologies is advantageous
