With a strong focus on safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, the organization offers a collaborative environment where leaders are empowered to drive performance, develop talent, and implement process improvements that create measurable business value.Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Manager will:Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing supervisors, team leaders, and production personnel to achieve operational objectivesDrive a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operationManage daily production activities to ensure schedules, customer requirements, and performance targets are consistently metMonitor operational KPIs including productivity, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, yield, and scrap reduction initiativesCoordinate workforce planning, scheduling, training, and cross-training programs to maximize operational flexibilityPartner with engineering, maintenance, planning, and quality teams to optimize manufacturing performance and resolve operational challengesLead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions to improve reliability and performanceSupport new product introductions, process transfers, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projectsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Manufacturing Manager will have the following background:5+ years of experience within the plastics manufacturing industry - ideally working with extrusion or injection moldingAt least 3 years of experience managing supervisors and production teamsExperience within medical device, tubing, wire and cable, extrusion, or similar regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirableStrong understanding of extrusion manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and process controls.Knowledge of process validation methodologies and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
