Job Description

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across production areas
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance standards
  • Ensure manufacturing performance meets cost, quality, delivery, and volume goals
  • Manage workforce planning to support changing customer demand
  • Develop cross-training and labor contingency plans
  • Establish performance metrics and action plans to improve operations
  • Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability
  • Utilize operational data and KPIs to drive decision-making
  • Lead change management and employee engagement efforts
  • Develop and mentor supervisors, technical staff, and production employees
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and material utilization
  • Align operations with corporate manufacturing standards and best practices
  • Support plant leadership and cross-functional operational initiatives
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and work instructions are followed consistently

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Manager should have:

  • BS in Business, Engineering, or a technical discipline
  • 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
  • Strong background in high-volume manufacturing operations
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Knowledge of Strategy Deployment methodologies
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
  • Experience driving operational performance through KPIs and analytics
  • Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with plastics, extrusion, or automated manufacturing preferred
  • Experience implementing automation strategies is a plus
