A leading, globally recognized manufacturer of advanced radiation detection technology is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team in Woburn, MA. This organization specializes in the design, development, and production of high‑precision components used in X‑ray spectroscopy, analytical chemistry, and nuclear and space research applications.

Job Description

  • Conduct testing to ensure proper functionality of products and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
  • Repair or replace defective components as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
  • Support prototype builds during new product development
  • Collaborate cross functionally to improve product and process performance
  • Assist in resolving customer and in process failures
  • Support production operators on the manufacturing floor
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed
  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Process Engineer should have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
  • Background in chemical, electronic or materials engineering is preferred
  • Experience in a mechanical technician or similar hands on role
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment
  • Certified soldering skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic machining skills are a plus
