Job Description

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Identify process improvement opportunities within manufacturing operations and lead projects from concept through implementation.
  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on quality and performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions to improve consistency and process control.
  • Lead and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen activities.
  • Provide technical expertise across manufacturing processes, including productivity, safety, and quality improvements.
  • Evaluate and support the introduction of new equipment, including ROI analysis, vendor selection, and installation oversight.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintain facility layouts using CAD and support plant layout optimization.
  • Support predictive maintenance initiatives and data-driven process improvements.
  • Assist cross-functional teams including quality, procurement, and operations as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and quality tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.
  • Proficiency with CAD and general engineering software/tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced production setting.
