The successful candidate will investigate incidents, inspect mechanical systems and vehicles, perform accident reconstruction analyses, and manage engineering projects from initial investigation through to final reporting and client presentation.Conduct forensic engineering investigations involving vehicle accidents, product failures, and property losses.Perform vehicle inspections, data retrieval, and downloads.Reconstruct motor vehicle collisions using engineering calculations and simulation tools.Prepare technical reports, findings, and expert opinions for clients and legal proceedings.Manage multiple projects while coordinating field investigations and client requirements.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. They will be comfortable balancing field investigations and office-based analysis, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.2+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.Professional Engineer (PE) licence or EIT certification with plans to obtain PE status.Knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, chassis, thermal, and vehicle dynamics.Willingness to travel for site inspections and investigations as required.What's on OfferThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering consultancy offering exposure to highly varied forensic investigations and accident reconstruction projects.
