Their culture emphasizes technical excellence, customer focus, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement within advanced manufacturing environments.Job DescriptionOperate and maintain mechanical, physical, chemical, and metallographic testing equipmentManage materials laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory controlEvaluate incoming materials to ensure compliance with customer and purchase specificationsPerform metallurgical analysis including hardness testing, metallographic examination, and materials characterizationMaintain and operate heat-treating furnaces and ovens, including atmosphere-controlled equipmentInvestigate material and process deviations and prepare technical reports with corrective action recommendationsSupport production teams through technical materials expertise and troubleshootingPrepare material certifications and documentation supporting customer and regulatory requirementsReview customer drawings, specifications, and material requirements for new and existing programsAnalyze returned materials and lead root cause investigationsResearch and evaluate new materials, customer proposals, and material specificationsSupport customer audits and special process compliance initiativesCollaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teamsParticipate in internal audits supporting NADCAP, heat treat, and pyrometry requirementsAssist customers, distributors, and sales teams with material application supportSupport continuous improvement and special projects as assignedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
