Job Description

As a Ground Up Superintendent | New Britain, CT, you will:

  • Oversee all field operations from earthwork and foundations through project turnover.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and site personnel.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Conduct daily site walks focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, manpower, and subcontractor activities.
  • Lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule and budget.
  • Manage punch-list completion and project closeout activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Ground Up Superintendent | New Britain, CT, should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor.
  • Ground-up construction experience required.
  • Experience on commercial, multifamily, healthcare, education, industrial, or municipal projects.
  • Strong understanding of sitework, structural systems, and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to manage multiple trades in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience on projects valued at $10M-$75M+ preferred.
