We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the field operations for a $40M+ ground-up Senior Living project in Denville, NJ. This individual will serve as the lead on site, driving schedule, safety, and quality while initially operating independently and eventually managing additional Superintendents.

Job Description

  • Site Supervision: Serve as the Lead Superintendent on a $40M+ Senior Living facility project
  • Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and maintain the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and on-site personnel to ensure efficient workflow
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce and uphold jobsite safety standards, company policies, and OSHA compliance
  • Quality Control: Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications and plans
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed daily logs, reports, and documentation

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up construction
  • Strong background in structural steel and wood-frame residential/multi-family construction
  • Proven ability to run projects independently, especially in early-phase construction
  • Experience on large-scale projects ($30M+ preferred), ideally in senior living, multi-family, or similar sectors
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing, and safety standards
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to transition into a General Superintendent role overseeing multiple Supers
