The organization is well‑funded, growing rapidly, and operating at the intersection of advanced hardware, software, and infrastructure.Job DescriptionIn this role you will report directly into Senior Leadership and will be responsible for:Leading the development and optimisation of reactor core design to meet performance, safety, and economic objectivesDefining reactor physics methodologies, assumptions, and analytical approachesDirecting core design activities including neutronics analysis, fuel management strategies, and performance evaluationsPerforming and reviewing reactor physics calculations including criticality, reactivity, and power distribution analysesDeveloping and maintaining reactor physics models and ensuring verification and validation processes are followedSupporting reactor safety analysis and contributing to accident analyses and licensing methodologiesPreparing technical documentation and reports to support regulatory interactionsMentoring and developing reactor engineering staff while reviewing technical work productsCoordinating cross-functional efforts with thermal hydraulics, systems engineering, safety analysis, and fuel development teamsImplementing advanced modelling techniques, uncertainty quantification, and emerging reactor physics methodologiesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
