Job Description

As an NYC Public Work DOB Superintendent - Brooklyn, you will:

    • Manage all day-to-day field operations on public construction projects.
    • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with NYC DOB regulations, project specifications, and safety requirements.
    • Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or field challenges.
    • Lead site meetings and communicate progress to project management teams.
    • Conduct quality control inspections and oversee corrective actions.
    • Coordinate DOB inspections, permit requirements, and closeout activities.
    • Enforce site safety programs and maintain OSHA compliance.

The Successful Applicant

An ideal NYC Public Work DOB Superintendent - Brooklyn, will have:

    • 7+ years of Superintendent experience with a NYC general contractor.
    • Strong background managing public-sector projects for agencies such as SCA, DDC, DASNY, NYCHA, MTA, or similar.
    • Thorough understanding of NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations, permitting, and inspections.
    • Proven ability to lead field teams and maintain project schedules.
    • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications are a plus.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience managing multiple trades on active construction sites.
