Job Description

Reporting to senior executive leadership, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and strategic performance of a regional business unit while ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects.

  • Lead the overall operational and financial performance of the business unit, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, staffing strategies, and growth initiatives.
  • Provide leadership across project management, field operations, safety, quality, and estimating functions.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring cost, schedule, quality, and client expectations are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive workforce development through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including billing, forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

For the Operations Manager role, we are seeking:

  • Proven experience in a senior operations, construction, or project leadership position within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated responsibility for budgets, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, quality management systems, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to build lasting client relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience with estimating software, project controls, and financial reporting tools is highly desirable.
