The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining the highest standards of quality, environmental compliance, and customer service. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, quality, and EH&S functions.

Job Description

The responsibilities of the Plant Manager are:

  • Direct and oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop and execute plant strategies aligned with organizational goals and business requirements.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, materials, and other resources.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Lead capacity planning and production scheduling efforts to meet customer demand.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety through training, audits, risk assessments, and incident prevention programs.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental permits, regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure maintenance programs support safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Lead equipment reliability and asset management initiatives to maximize uptime and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Plant Manager will have the following:

  • Minimum High School Education required (Bachelor Degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within manufacturing environment
  • Experience within Chemical Manufacturing required
  • EHS Experience required
