Job Description

  • Oversee all preconstruction phases, including cost planning, estimating, and value engineering to ensure project viability and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with clients, design teams, engineers, and internal departments to develop precise and compelling project proposals.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify potential risks, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
  • Direct bidding activities and maintain strong subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable partnerships.
  • Support the handoff process to operations teams, ensuring clarity and continuity from preconstruction through execution.

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in preconstruction, estimating, or a blended Assistant Project Manager/Estimator role.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, light industrial, or warehouse construction is advantageous but not required.
  • Proven experience leading ground-up preconstruction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial construction methods and the ability to confidently interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
