Job Description

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's automation and controls strategy.
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing automation systems to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain controls architecture standards across the operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, equipment performance, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership on automation projects from concept through implementation and startup.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot complex controls and automation issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend automation solutions that support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering and manufacturing teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of Controls and Automation Engineering experience.
  • Strong experience within a manufacturing environment; industry background is flexible.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automation systems, controls architecture, and industrial control technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead automation improvements and complex engineering initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
