Job Description

  • Lead daily production operations across 1st and 2nd shifts, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are met.
  • Manage production startup, scheduling, and shift readiness to support seamless operations.
  • Monitor labor, yields, and operational costs, identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce waste.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and process optimization.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production Supervisors, Team Leads, and production personnel.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration between shifts to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and production readiness.
  • Support workforce planning and staffing to meet production demands and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and BRC requirements.
  • Report directly to the Vice President and provide leadership for a high-volume food manufacturing operation.

The Successful Applicant

Required

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Significant manufacturing or production leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple shifts and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance requirements.



Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Food Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, 15+ years of relevant manufacturing or production leadership experience.
  • Experience with:
    • HACCP
    • SQF
    • BRC
    • GMPs
    • Safety programs
    • Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies
