Job Description

Reporting directly into the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure timely production and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Analyze production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with EHS to ensure standards, processes, and procedures are being followed and met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of equipment and machinery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Manager should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree - required, Master's Degree - preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in production and manufacturing.
  • Must have experience working in a union plant.
  • Direct experience leading and developing front line supervisors.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
  • Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, SixSigma, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
