About Our Client

We are a large, established food manufacturing organization with a strong national presence and a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. Operating in a high-volume, temperature-controlled production environment, we supply products to major retail, foodservice, and distribution partners across North America.As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead production operations and drive safety, quality, efficiency, and team performance.

Job Description

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Supervise and lead production employees to achieve daily production goals.
  • Provide hands-on coaching, support, and problem-solving throughout the shift.
  • Assign work and manage staffing resources across multiple production lines.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and operating procedures.



Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Enforce all workplace safety, GMP, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure proper PPE compliance.
  • Maintain safety documentation and support training initiatives.
  • Identify and escalate safety concerns as needed.



Production Performance

  • Execute production plans to meet throughput, yield, quality, and labor targets.
  • Monitor production line performance and address inefficiencies, waste, or downtime.
  • Verify product specifications, packaging requirements, and labeling accuracy.
  • Support achievement of customer and regulatory standards.



Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, equipment utilization, and labor allocation.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Communicate production results, challenges, and recommendations to leadership.



Employee Development

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate production employees.
  • Support training, cross-training, and workforce development efforts.
  • Conduct performance discussions and address employee concerns appropriately.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.



Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to support production success.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive shift reports and operational updates to management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Supervisor 2nd Shift should have:

Required

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within manufacturing, food production, or related industrial environments.
  • Experience working in refrigerated, cold-storage, protein processing, or similar production settings.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, labor-intensive operation.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing software or ERP systems.
  • Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions during off-shift hours.



Work Environment

  • 2pm - 1am shift
  • Regular work in a temperature-controlled production environment.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and floor supervision required.
  • Fast-paced setting with production deadlines, quality standards, and operational performance goals.
