Job Description

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day production activities across manufacturing operations.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop production personnel to maximize performance and engagement.
  • Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, and production scheduling to meet operational objectives.
  • Monitor production output, performance metrics, and quality standards to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure departmental performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication to improve workflow, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures, systems, and best manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review operational performance data and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Support employee recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development programs.
  • Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and manufacturing processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Approximately 7+ years of supervisory or management experience within manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working in medical device, life sciences, aerospace, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries preferred.
  • Strong background in production planning, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and utilize KPIs to improve results.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance requirements, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to spend significant time on the production floor supporting teams and operations.
