Job Description

  • Lead complex product development programs from customer proposal through qualification, certification, and production transition.
  • Review customer requirements, proposals, and change requests to ensure alignment with technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
  • Chair and coordinate cross-functional Integrated Product Teams across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain functions.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for programs status, scope management, issue resolution, and progress reviews.
  • Monitor program performance using established project management tools and metrics.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to support successful delivery.
  • Drive alignment among internal stakeholders while ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Support new product introduction activities and facilitate a smooth handover into production.
  • Prepare and present program reports, milestones, and performance updates to leadership and customers.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, project management, or a similar leadership role.
  • Previous Tight Phase Gate program management experience.
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively within technical product development and manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of delivering results through cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent planning, organization, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Eligibility to work with controlled information and meet applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, engineering, or highly regulated environments is advantageous.
  • MBA, advanced management qualification, PMP, PMI certification, or equivalent training would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of engineering product development, qualification, or certification processes is preferred.
