The team prioritizes a transparent communication strategy with their employees, and ensures the team is supported through the entirety of a project.Job DescriptionProject Accountant Responsibilities:Review owner contracts to ensure accurate billing based on contractual terms and prepare timely, accurate billings in accordance with those agreements.Analyze and track job-related costs, ensuring adherence to internal control procedures. Reconcile job costs with monthly billings and identify any unbilled or delayed charges.Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth billing processes, ensuring all costs are captured and communicated effectively.Ensure prompt payment to subcontractors upon receipt of waivers and compile waiver packages for proper project documentation.Assist with job closeout by preparing accruals, reconciling project profits and losses, and ensuring accurate financials are recorded at project completion.Oversee subcontractor insurance compliance, ensuring its impact on billing and project schedules is appropriately managed.Monitor cash flow for each project and ensure financial management practices support project timelines and objectives.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
