They are looking for an experienced engineer to lead all estimation efforts at their west-side Chicago facility!Job DescriptionReview customer drawings/RFQs, determine required processes (CNC, machining, welding, finishing)Estimate machine hours, labor, and material costs.Cost Analysis: Calculate overhead, profit margins, and total landed costs to provide competitive pricing.Process Optimization: Identify cost-effective methods, suggest design improvements for manufacturability (DFM), and reduce waste.Collaboration: Work with sales (pricing), production (scheduling/feasibility), and management (operational excellence).Documentation: Create Bill of Estimates (BOE), track costs, and maintain cost models.Work within various Costing Software/ERP proficiencyMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
