Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for:

  • National Travel - data center projects
  • Typical schedule: 10 hour days/6 day a week job - every other weekend off.
  • Serving as primary point of contact for all project stakeholders (Owner, Architect, Subs, Consultants)
  • Managing full project lifecycle including budget, schedule, risk, resources, and safety
  • Supporting proposal, preconstruction, and business development efforts (interviews, networking, marketing)
  • Coordinating estimating, procurement, and buyout processes with internal teams
  • Providing constructability reviews and maintaining alignment between design, cost, and execution
  • Leading project meetings (OAC, subcontractor), including agenda, minutes, and follow-up
  • Coordinating closely with field teams to align on project goals, schedule, and budget
  • Managing project financials, including cost reporting, forecasting, requisitions, invoicing, and cash flow
  • Leading change management, including pricing, negotiation, and resolution of disputes
  • Overseeing project controls, including RFIs, submittals, and material delivery tracking
  • Maintaining subcontractor relationships and ensuring contract and insurance compliance
  • Managing schedule updates in coordination with project scheduler and field leadership
  • Driving project closeout, including punch list, documentation, and final turnover
  • Conducting site walks, reviewing field reports, and resolving quality and performance issues
  • Supporting safety efforts through regular site observations and coordination with safety staff
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing project team members while managing staffing needs
  • Identifying and driving project profitability opportunities, including self-perform work

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Has acted as a traveling project manager previously, preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience within the construction industry in project management or similar role.
  • Experience working on Data center projects OR relevant projects such as: large manufacturing plant, pharmaceutical plant, semiconductor plant, etc.
  • Heavy MEP knowledge.
  • OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 preferred.
  • Additional proficiencies may include cost management software (Timberline, Sage preferred), scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred) and construction management software (Procore preferred).
