Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering major transformer projects throughout their full lifecycle. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, and customer teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of power transformer projects from handover through contract close-out.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, consultants, utility companies, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, finance, and quality teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor project financial performance, cost controls, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, commissioning activities, and project handover processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and international industry standards.

The Successful Applicant

For the Project Manager we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of project management experience within power transmission, energy, transformer manufacturing, or heavy electrical equipment industries.
  • Strong knowledge of transformer design, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and installation processes.
  • Experience managing large-scale, technically complex customer projects.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies.
  • Strong experience using project planning tools including Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts, project finance, budgeting, and risk management principles.
  • Familiarity with international standards including IEC, ISO, ANSI, and related electrical industry standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, customer-facing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement.
