Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Manage affordable housing renovation and rehabilitation projects from start to finish
Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall financial performance
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, owners, and project stakeholders
Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
Coordinate closely with field Superintendents to ensure project schedules are maintained
Communicate with owners, property managers, architects, engineers, and agency representatives
Help coordinate work in occupied residential buildings and tenant-in-place environments
Maintain strong communication regarding resident impacts, access, scheduling, and disruptions
Ensure work complies with project specifications, plans, building requirements, and applicable agency standards
Assist with project closeout, punch lists, turnover, and final documentation

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

4+ years of construction Project Management experience
Experience with affordable housing, residential rehabilitation, or interior renovations
Experience with NYCHA and/or HPD projects strongly preferred
Experience working on occupied rehabilitation / tenant-in-place projects is highly valued
Strong understanding of construction contracts, schedules, budgets, and project documentation
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with standard construction/project management software
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required
