Job Description



The Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for construction projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time by coordinating timelines, tracking progress, identifying potential delays, and working closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software
  • Create baseline schedules that outline scope, activities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance
  • Analyze schedule impacts and identify potential risks or delays
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment on timelines
  • Conduct schedule reviews and progress meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and visual timelines for leadership and clients
  • Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track
  • Support resource planning and allocation based on scheduling needs
  • Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements and company standards

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-7+ years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
