Job Description

In this role you will report directly into Senior Leadership and will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and implementing the organization's nuclear quality assurance program aligned with NRC requirements and applicable quality standards
  • Developing QA policies, procedures, manuals, and governance frameworks to support engineering, procurement, and future operations
  • Ensuring alignment with standards such as 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and other applicable regulatory and customer requirements
  • Implementing a graded approach to quality assurance based on safety significance and program maturity
  • Establishing QA controls for engineering design, including verification, independent review, calculation control, software QA, and technical records
  • Developing procurement and supplier quality programs, including supplier qualification, audits, surveillance, and commercial grade dedication
  • Building the quality framework for future manufacturing operations, including inspection, testing, traceability, non-conformance, and corrective action processes
  • Developing foundational QA programs for future fuel production, including material control, testing, and regulatory compliance
  • Establishing audit, corrective action, and compliance programs while leading investigations and root cause analysis activities
  • Building and leading the QA organization, including defining roles, recruiting staff, and fostering a strong quality culture across the company

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical field
  • 12+ years of quality assurance experience in nuclear or other highly regulated technical industries
  • Experience developing or managing formal quality assurance programs
  • Working knowledge of NRC QA requirements, including 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B
  • Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 or comparable nuclear quality standards
  • Experience with supplier quality, audits, corrective action, document control, and quality records
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes and organizations in a growing technical environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage with senior leadership
