Job Description

The QC Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Leading quality control across energy retrofit and construction projects.
  • Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards.
  • Coordinating testing, commissioning, inspections, and quality documentation.
  • Reviewing materials, submittals, and installation quality.
  • Managing subcontractor performance and resolving site issues.
  • Supporting scheduling, estimating, reporting, and client communication.
  • Overseeing commissioning, M&V, and O&M processes.
  • Assisting with audits, scope development, and business development activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful QC Specialist should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of construction quality control, field engineering, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction.
  • Experience with HVAC, controls, lighting, electrical, and building energy systems.
  • Proven leadership and construction management experience.
  • Energy retrofit, performance contracting, or ESCO experience preferred.
  • Federal, military, or USACE project experience is advantageous.
  • USACE CQM certification/training preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency.
  • Ability to commute to project sites throughout the Washington DC Metro area.
