Job Description

  • Supervise and support QC inspectors, ensuring consistent and accurate inspection processes
  • Perform hands-on inspections (incoming, in-process, and final) as needed
  • Prepare and review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and applicable MIL-STD requirements
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and drive root cause analysis initiatives
  • Coordinate with vendors to address quality issues and improve supplier performance
  • Oversee final product testing and required documentation for customer delivery
  • Continuously improve inspection processes, documentation, and workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on inspection experience across incoming, in-process, and final stages
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9000; familiarity with MIL standards preferred
  • Experience preparing and reviewing FAI reports and technical documentation
  • Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Prior experience supervising or leading inspectors or small teams preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving mindset
