Job Description

  • Define and implement a comprehensive manufacturing quality roadmap that supports business priorities, operational goals, and long-term scalability.
  • Serve as a key quality partner to manufacturing leadership, driving improvements in execution, consistency, and product performance.
  • Establish standardized quality practices, operating procedures, and continuous improvement frameworks across manufacturing operations.
  • Lead manufacturing quality performance initiatives focused on improving yield, reducing variability, and enhancing overall product reliability.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing controls, inspection strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure production processes are robust, repeatable, and capable of supporting evolving business and customer requirements.
  • Drive structured problem-solving efforts to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of manufacturing issues.
  • Lead containment activities and improvement initiatives to address quality concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve product designs, manufacturing processes, documentation, and production readiness.
  • Oversee the ongoing enhancement of manufacturing quality systems in alignment with ISO standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations maintain compliance with internal requirements, applicable regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Lead and support quality assessments, audit activities, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Test, and Customer-facing quality teams to improve end-to-end product quality.
  • Promote proactive quality involvement throughout product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Work with supplier quality teams to strengthen supplier performance, incoming material quality, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics, performance indicators, and reporting mechanisms to drive operational improvement.
  • Champion continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, statistical process control, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities, improve accountability, and enhance manufacturing performance.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing manufacturing quality team focused on execution, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Build a culture centered on prevention, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Develop organizational capabilities through talent development, coaching, and succession planning.

The Successful Applicant

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, operations quality, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience leading quality teams within complex, high-technology manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, manufacturing quality systems, and process control methodologies.
  • Expertise with FMEA, SPC, 8D, RCA, CAPA, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.



Preferred

  • Experience supporting complex capital equipment or engineered-to-order manufacturing.
  • Experience leading quality organizations across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt & above, ASQ CQE, or ISO Lead Auditor certification.
  • Passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and building world-class manufacturing organizations.
