About Our Client

An established manufacturer serving highly regulated industries is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement, support quality management systems, lead root cause investigations, and enhance production processes. This role partners with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality, compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence through Lean and data-driven quality methodologies.

Job Description

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies to reduce defects and improve operational performance.
  • Conduct root cause investigations, corrective actions, and nonconformance management to drive sustainable quality improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, control plans, inspection plans, and quality records.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits while helping ensure compliance with industry quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing processes, support new product introductions, and resolve quality issues.
  • Analyze quality metrics, process capability, and performance trends to identify risks, prioritize actions, and enhance product quality.
  • Manage supplier and customer quality activities, including inspections, returned product investigations, quality reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with experience supporting quality initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years experience in quality engineering within electro-mechanical, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and compliance standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Hands-on experience leading continuous improvement efforts using Lean, PDCA, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, corrective actions, PFMEA, control plans, process capability studies, and statistical quality tools.
  • Effective collaborator with the ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, production, and supply chain.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, manage quality documentation, and present data-driven recommendations.
