Job Description

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS to support inspection activities.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, customer specifications, and technical documentation to establish effective inspection strategies.
  • Design and implement fixturing, tooling, and measurement setups that ensure repeatable and accurate results.
  • Perform dimensional inspections and verify product compliance against customer requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies to validate inspection methodologies.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation including Control Plans, Inspection Plans, First Article Inspection (FAI), and PPAP packages.
  • Ensure process controls, quality systems, and documentation meet contractual, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, machining, and quality teams to resolve process and product quality challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Support a safe, organized, and quality-focused manufacturing environment.

The Successful Applicant

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, dimensional inspection, and metrology principles.
  • Experience supporting aerospace machining suppliers or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, PPAP, FAI, and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with quality and statistical analysis tools including SPC and Minitab.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of driving initiatives independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
